Alexis Souza | Souzamaphone
I have been doing graphic design professionally since 1997 after doing my time at San Francisco Academy of Art. Upon taking business courses at Texas Tech, I found a job at a printing press in Lubbock. At the forefront of the on-line printing emergence, I found my calling in print design, in all aspects. From interpreting print "lingo" to customers in the beginning, I have worked my way through owning an arts newspaper to publishing regional magazines, from start-up level local ads to international print ad campaigns, from minor screen-printing to packaging & apparel. I work out of the house (under the business name Souzamaphone) near Boerne, Texas preferring my oak trees to traffic in town. Industry recognitions include international awards for cover designs and poster designs from AIVA's Communicator in 2010-2012. (Completely nervous about this Furious Pixel competition!)

Doris Palmeros | University of The Incarnate Word
Doris grew up on the colorful Texas/Mexico border which helped shape her vision of finding beauty in things mundane yet authentic, gritty yet perfect in their imperfection. From the Texas border to the heart of Texas at UT Austin, Doris made her move northeast to pursue a masters degree in her passion, graphic design, at the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. She spent the following 9 years working with her mentors, Seymour Chwast and DK Holland, at Pushpin Studios in NYC before founding her own company, Twinpop Design. The road back to South Texas beckoned, and with her husband and young kids in toe, Doris continued developing her creativity at Giles Design in San Antonio. Today, her main pursuit is sparking the internal fire of her students at the University of the Incarnate Word and helping clients express their vision thru freelance projects. Doris lives on a quiet street close to downtown SA and when she's not busy teaching her students, she sits at her kitchen table helping her son, Luca, and daughter, Maya, express their own inner artist.
