Alexis Souza | Souzamaphone

I have been doing graphic design professionally since 1997 after doing my time at San Francisco Academy of Art. Upon taking business courses at Texas Tech, I found a job at a printing press in Lubbock. At the forefront of the on-line printing emergence, I found my calling in print design, in all aspects. From interpreting print "lingo" to customers in the beginning, I have worked my way through owning an arts newspaper to publishing regional magazines, from start-up level local ads to international print ad campaigns, from minor screen-printing to packaging & apparel. I work out of the house (under the business name Souzamaphone) near Boerne, Texas preferring my oak trees to traffic in town. Industry recognitions include international awards for cover designs and poster designs from AIVA's Communicator in 2010-2012. (Completely nervous about this Furious Pixel competition!)

Samantha Muscat-Sherr | The Broadway Agency

As a child, spent unreasonable amounts of time choosing the right fonts for the lemonade stand poster and editing MS Paint drawings pixel by pixel. Today, she does basically the same thing and loves every minute of it. Her specialties include logo design and print advertising, and her work often features traditional and digital illustration and hand-drawn type.

Rikky Möller | Rikky Möller Design

Rikky Möller is an award-winning graphic designer, illustrator, and all around geek. Drawing inspiration from psychology, science fiction, and a constant exploration for knowledge, his tagline says it all: "Need brilliant design? Hire a nerd."

Möller delves into every project with a holistic approach to design and detail. As a multicultural communicator, Rikky Möller is familiar with almost any language that might come his way (Klingon included).

Möller's work has led to over 30 awards from respected institutions such as the American Advertising Federation and The Art Director's Club. With experience ranging from Fortune 500 companies to grassroots start-ups, no project is too immense or too small. A few of his past projects include American Airlines, Clear Channel Communications, Fulbright & Jaworski, IBC Bank, Jack Daniels, Kodak, SA♥Japan, Rackspace, Time Warner, and USAA.

Doris Palmeros | University of The Incarnate Word

Doris grew up on the colorful Texas/Mexico border which helped shape her vision of finding beauty in things mundane yet authentic, gritty yet perfect in their imperfection. From the Texas border to the heart of Texas at UT Austin, Doris made her move northeast to pursue a masters degree in her passion, graphic design, at the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. She spent the following 9 years working with her mentors, Seymour Chwast and DK Holland, at Pushpin Studios in NYC before founding her own company, Twinpop Design. The road back to South Texas beckoned, and with her husband and young kids in toe, Doris continued developing her creativity at Giles Design in San Antonio. Today, her main pursuit is sparking the internal fire of her students at the University of the Incarnate Word and helping clients express their vision thru freelance projects. Doris lives on a quiet street close to downtown SA and when she's not busy teaching her students, she sits at her kitchen table helping her son, Luca, and daughter, Maya, express their own inner artist.

Rick Lopez | Black Pearl Intelligence

Rick's professional work experience comes from his passion for the creative process. His first memories of creativity are when he was a kid sitting in church drawing with crayons. Now he has over 16 years of advertising experience, and has been involved as a professional designer and artist for 20 years. Though Rick is talented in several visual art disciplines, he has been focused on the art of moving pictures in commercials, short films and music videos. When not busy working and creating,Rick spends his time writing in third person and relaxing with his beautiful wife and two boys…and yes, he still loves to sit quietly and doodle in church.
