Cinco de Mojo: A Virtual Happy Hour & Mojo Reset with Sherra Bell

This “new normal” provides an opportunity to pivot or evolve. Enjoy a happy hour conversation while learning how to reset your mojo at any career stage.

Many designers find clients and jobs from passive referrals easily enough when times are good that they become dependent on them. The cracks in this strategy tend to reveal themselves when the economy constricts, as it is always eventually prone to doing. But they are really exposed when that constriction is unexpectedly severe.

This process of getting back to business as (or better than) usual under new conditions presents a unique chance for any who realize they are ready to pivot and evolve...whether out of necessity or boredom. Any new normal creates fertile ground for change because creativity, commitment, and clarity of purpose become your competitive advantage.

If your retreat into the COVID-19 quarantine has produced a nagging desire for something better or if you are struggling to find the opportunity created by its challenges, perhaps it will help to take inspiration from celebrating and virtually toasting the lessons learned at the historic Battle of Puebla. You are invited to join your AIGA San Antonio board and special guest speaker, Sherra Bell, on May 5th, starting at 5 pm for a Cinco de Mayo Virtual Happy Hour and Mojo Reset.

A designer first, Sherra has been a business consultant, creative recruiter, and career coach to designers for over two decades. Having become an initially reluctant entrepreneur out of necessity in 2001, her only choice has ever been to build a business on the resilience of turning challenges into opportunities. A former AIGA Atlanta President, she remains particularly passionate about helping designers prosper under any economic condition.

This event will support a mojo reset for designers at any career stage...and promises to also be a lot of happy, silly, celebratory AIGA fun with friends for a Tuesday!
