AIGA National Board member and Pop Culture Maven Christine Taylor answers this question by revealing how Hallmark has unexpectedly been engaging passionate fans of franchises like Star Wars, Star Trek, DC Comics, Marvel and more with a new brand experience, "PopMinded”. Join us for a conversation about why we love what we love...and how pop culture surrounds us, and penetrates us, and binds the galaxy together.
This pre-Halloween evening of all things POP and SciFi/Superhero nerdy goodness happens at Southtown’s Freight Gallery. Before and following Christine, a curated group of local artists will have works of art and design on paper available for sale. Drinks available at the Gallery Bar.

About Christine:
Christine Taylor is a multi-disciplinary creative with a background in both psychology & design. She currently is a Creative Account Manager in Licensing at Hallmark Cards where she manages the relationship and creative product development between Hallmark’s internal teams and outside movie & television studios, ensuring all licensed product meets the creative strategy and brand/character relevance in multiple channels of retail distribution.
Most recently, she helped develop and is leading the creative for Hallmark’s new pop-up pop culture brand experience PopMinded. Christine hosts and produces a weekly series of the same name, and manages the experience at comic conventions, online and on social media. She’s a pop culture fanatic and brings her passion and geek lexicon to work every day.
She is a current National Board Member of the AIGA, recently co-charing and co-hosting the 2017 Design Gala, and has served as President of AIGA Kansas City. She been featured in various award shows and publications, judged design competitions, and has spoken nationally at the Brand New Conference, HOW and FUSE. Christine has a passion for food, wine, film, television, music and theatre and often takes on outside projects that leverage her love for them, including production design for local films and web series.
